The idea was inspired by a famous Arab singer named Umm Kulthum she is a Egyptian singer who mesmerized Arab audiences from the Persian Gulf to Morocco for half a century. She was one of the most famous Arab singers and public personalities of the 20th century.
Her portraits were drawn because I find in her a distinct personality in a style and clothing that can be recognized at first glance. Most of the time she sang and wore her signature glasses as well as the scarf that she held in her hand.
